Pick up a custom Moto X (2nd Gen) for only $50 on Verizon [DEALS]

Without question, the Moto X (2nd Gen) is one of the best Android devices on the market (see our full review) and today, Verizon is making it hard to resist picking up one of these for the holidays.

Previously $100, you can now pick up a brand new, custom Moto X 2014 straight from Motorola’s site for only $50 with a 2-year contract. When purchasing from Motorola, you can actually custom design your own Moto X with a variety of colors, even down to the trim around the logo and speaker grills.

All in all, the deal isn’t a bad one, but keep in mind this is the bare bones 16GB model. If you’re looking for something a little more premium, a wood-backed model with 32GB will take you right back up to $125 with a 2-year agreement. Still not bad if you’re holing onto an upgrade. The deal ends December 31st, so make haste if you’re interested.

  2. Don’t care about on contract pricing and never will. Is the off contract price reduced at all?

    1. if u go thru he Moto store they offer $100 off purchases over $500 and $50 of purchases under that

  3. I’m looking for a reason to upgrade from my HTC DNA and this deal is not one of them. Ugh.

  4. While I wish this phone was 4.7-5.0″, it’s still the only Android phone I’m interested in at this point. Great deal.

    1. u really wont notice a difference between 5″ and 5.2″

      1. I personally notice a significant difference from the Moto X / iPhone 6 / Nexus 4 up to the Nexus 5 then up to the new Moto X. They just keep getting wider it’s annoying to hold. 4.7″ feels perfect to me I don’t need or want a screen bigger than that on a phone.

        1. Im coming from a galaxy nexus (4.7″ screen) and the moto X feels smaller in hand with a 5.2″ screen. just my opinion.

          1. Gnex is 68mm wide, the new Moto X is 72mm wide. But yea the new Moto X might be a rare exception because it’s only like 3mm thick on the edges that helps to hold it.

  5. US Cellular has the same phone for $.01 right now with a two year contract.
