Baldur’s Gate is a franchise beloved by many, and for good reason — for its time, it was one of the greatest RPGs you could be lucky enough to play. The original Baldur’s Gate saw a mobile release on Android, so you had to expect the trend would continue — Baldur’s Gate II is now available for download on the Google Play Store.

The developers are asking for $10, but what’s a tenner for a game that’ll deliver near-countless hours of enjoyment and fun? Not only will you get the original game, but you’ll get all of the expansions that were released as part of the Enhanced Edition release on PC a few years ago.

Baldur’s Gate II puts you in control of a legendary ward under captivity by an evil wizard named Irenicus. The wizard wants to strip you of a great power you have held since birth, though it’s up to you to determine if you want to use that power for good to break free from the wizard’s fortress of evil, or use it to unleash your own brand of hell upon the world. Hit the download link for the game over at Google Play if that sounds like your idea of a good time.

  1. Is this best played on a tablet? I only asked because the first one wasn’t so optimized for smaller phones with the small writing. And to pay 10 dollars for a game that wouldn’t be able to be played well because I couldn’t read it again would be kind of a let down

  2. I have to finish Baldur’s Gate I 1st.
