Nexus 9 DSC07273

We’d heard T-Mobile’s Nexus 9 with LTE had suffered a delay, but without an official release date to start with we weren’t sure how long that delay was. Thankfully it didn’t seem to be long as T-Mobile today announced availability of their Nexus 9 with the sweet 4G LTE radios many have been waiting for.

You can get it from T-Mobile’s Underground store (the tablet won’t be offered in-store as far as we can tell) for $0 and $24.99 per month for 24 months, or plop down the full $599.99 they’re asking for it outright. It’s the same device being offered in the Google Play Store — which features a 8.9-inch display and NVIDIA’s Tegra K1 processor — but standalone data without the need for a WiFi connection is a plus for many people. Let us know if you’ll be jumping at the chance to buy one in the near future.

UPDATE: This same model — also found on Google Play – works just fine with AT&T as well.

The "Google Phone" sounded too awesome to pass up, so I bought a G1. The rest is history. And yes, I know my name isn't Wilson.

  1. It’s good to listen that there is a device that is coming to US with LTE, but WITHOUT Qualcomm Snapdragon, because the GPU’s Apple have in their devices are years better than the Adreno GPU’s (even the Adreno 430 doesn’t match the power of the GPU Apple have in both the iPhone 6 and 6 plus). I want the manufacturers to focus in THE GPU’s more than in the CPU’s. For me, what really makes the device more functional and smoother (besides better gaming) is the GPU. The GPU is what REALLY makes any device more useful to me. I hope soon the manufacturers realize that the GPU’s are INFINITE times more important than the speed of the CPU’s.

    1. It is a mobile phone not a gaming PC/console for god sake!!

      1. *facepalms* This is a tablet not a phone idiot

        1. My bad Mr. Wonderful

    2. Let me know how that fancy Apple GPU runs at QHD.

Because at 1080p, even the Adreno 420 matches the GPU in the iPhone 6/6+. Just so you know.

  2. It’s not 9.7 inch. Typo

  3. 4:3 IMO is the best aspect ratio for a tablet. These 16:9 android tablets are best for video watching but for every other task 4:3 is a lot better.

    1. I have no problem browsing the web or reading a book on my 16:10 tablet personally.
