Assassin’s Creed Unity is just one of a few great games dropping for consoles today, and in case you were looking for the companion app here it is. The app will equip you with a real-time in-game map that can show you the location of both you and your co-op partners, as well as famous landmarks around the game’s setting of Paris.
More than just viewing your own locations, the app features a heat map that’ll show you the paths other assassin’s took to complete their job, including any resistance and kills they’ve experienced along the way. Nothing quite like figuring out a route yourself, but this should turn out to be a nice tool in case you ever find yourself stuck.
One of the biggest things you’ll want to download the app for are the Nomad Brotherhood missions. Send your assassin underlings on missions, and if they do well enough you’ll be able to unlock new missions in the full game.
Finally, a database of tips, tricks and help and an equipment viewer to check out all your weapons and gear will allow you to stay up to speed on everything going on with your assassin. The download clocks in at a hefty 477 megabytes, but that’s a small price to pay to enhance the experience you’ve already paid $60 for. Be sure to find the free app over at Google Play.
Don’t buy this game, whatever you do. A lot of reports it can’t even have a stable 30fps on PS4 and Xbox One and the PC version can barely hold itself together on the most powerful GPU’ & CPU’s.
Don’t do it. The game forces you to use this to open some treasure chests. It also micro-transactions you to death. Send a message to Ubisoft: don’t buy this game. Ever.
