The launch of the Motorola DROID Turbo is fast approaching and if Verizon’s deep pockets are any indication, we’re preparing ourselves for an absolute media blitz. How can we be so sure? Well, they now have superstar actor James Franco tweeting out teaser videos for the upcoming phone.

Looking like something filmed by JJ Ambrams, the video titled “James Franco, the Bike Phantom” shows Franco casually biking around with his red DROID Turbo as onlookers watch in amazement as he virtually teleports around the streets. You can here them say, “He’s fast on that thing,” as he zips off into the night.

DroidLanding also posted a teaser video of their own, but it’s a lot more mysterious and tough to make out. All we can see is a red scarf and what appears to be someone’s hand grabbing for a gargoyle statue of some sort (possibly falling off a building?). It’s tough to say for sure, but you can find the tweet with embedded video here.

I've been obsessed with consumer technology for about as long as I can remember, be it video games, photography, or mobile devices. If you can plug it in, I have to own it. Preparing for the day when Android finally becomes self-aware and I get to welcome our new robot overlords.
