In case you didn’t know from the tons of teasers Acer’s been posting on Google+ over the past few days, they have an event going down in New York City. Phandroid is on the scene to get a first-hand look at whatever it is Acer is planning to introduce.

The theme is “a touch more connected,” a mantra they’ve been parading on social media for the past few days. We aren’t yet sure what that’ll bring us in terms of new devices, but the images they’ve used to hype the event show some form of a notebook, and perhaps a thin flagship phone or tablet. The teasers also put an emphasis on a lot of color, something that suggests they’ll be introducing something with a myriad of color options to fit any taste.

Acer doesn’t generally make a ton of noise when they have new products to introduce. Even their Liquid line of phones and their Iconia tablets are met with little fanfare and a slim parade.

This time feels different, though, and we’re excited to see what they’re planning to do to thrust themselves back into the spotlight in 2014. Stick with us as we bring you all the details later this morning and into the afternoon.
