    If the system only works to stream paid content, shouldn’t the box itself be free?

      Is Roku free? I understand where you are coming from, but basically all streaming devices cost something. Maybe discounting it for new Amazon Prime customers could be feasible, but I don’t see free happening.

      It seems like you didn’t even read about the product, it will play ALL of your local media with Plex and various other player apps.
