Red Nexus 5 Google Play

Heads up, folks. The red Nexus 5 is real, and currently live on the Google Play Store. We’ve been following the red colored variant since it first leaked back towards the end of last month. Since then, we saw it appear in and outside its packaging, followed by semi-official press images and finally, tipped to launch on the 4th. Looks like those rumors held true as the red Nexus is now available for the same great price, same beautiful stock Android experience. Direct link below.

I've been obsessed with consumer technology for about as long as I can remember, be it video games, photography, or mobile devices. If you can plug it in, I have to own it. Preparing for the day when Android finally becomes self-aware and I get to welcome our new robot overlords.

  2. I know it’s bright and flashy….. but I don’t care. WANT.

Anyone in the market for a gently used black Nexus 5? Time to hit up Craigslist!

    1. Yeah I was thinking of selling my white one and getting the red one. Take a look at the promo pictures here: https://play.google.com/store/devices

The colors look like actual backplates and not cases.

      1. Does the white one have a matte finish, such as the black N5,or is it more of a shiny /polished finish?

    2. If you’re serious, P. M. me in the forum. Interest guaranteed for today only, the G-FLEX (on T-Mobile) is available tomorrow……

      EDIT:
Just got to test-drive a demo G-FLEX, nice phone, a big G2 w/a curved screen. Feels good in-hand, nice audio & screen quality. NVM on the N5…….

    4. I’ll give u $55.23 and a gently used toilet paper

    5. Yes how much? My dad is looking for one.

  3. I like it but the more I stare at it, the more it hurts my eyes.

  4. I so would have gotten this red one if it would have been available at launch instead I got a 32gb black one…. Damn you Google

  5. amazeballs.

  6. looks nice but sticking with white

    1. Have you noticed any problems with staining on the white model? Like from jeans or dirty hands?

      1. I have the white 16 GB. It doesn’t really stain. It wipes clean pretty quickly.

      2. Not really. If something ever does smudge it wipes fairly cleanly. I did get a case to preserve its back though just to be safe though.

      3. Quick tip: Use any hand sanitizer, unscented preferably, to clean the white back as well as the screen. Works really well.
After having tried some of the other commonly available household cleaning solutions on my white HTC One X, i find that the unscented hand sanitizer in my office gives the best results.

  7. Woof. That’s ummm… red. Hey it’s pretty cool if you want a bright phone without a bright case. Verizon missed an opportunity. They should have allowed this on their network and offered the red one. ;-)

  8. So the google edition will work both on ATT and Tmobile?

    1. You talking about the Nexus 5? Yeah, works fine on both AT&T and T-Mobile.

  9. “The smart new phone from Google.” WTF is this, English ?
