Would you like a free 2013 Nexus 7 or a Google Play gift card?

google whatmatters promotionGoogle seems to be really intent on finding out what matters to you, or at least getting you to share that with the whole wide web. In a new push for their “What Matters” tagline, Google Play is offering you the opportunity to win a 2013 Nexus 7 or a $50 Google Play gift card.

As expected, the offer is limited to residents of the United States over the age of 18. To sign up, just take an image of, well, #whatmatters to you. There is no necessity for an Android device in the image, though let’s face it, they belong in there ahead of your wedding ring. After that, head over to this webpage, run by Wildfire which was acquired by Google back in mid-2012. Don’t worry, this is no phishing scam.

Also, if you qualify, I’m extremely jealous of you.

    1. You mean like how we (Rob, Chris and Steve) gave away ALL of their Google Glass invites?

      1. Or all the items you guys get when you attend the Google I/O?

        1. Yeah, last year was the best, I still can’t forget the look on the face of Chris when he got to know his free stuff would be given away

          1. Yup, and I was the one who won his stuff last year! The single greatest thing that has happened to me!

  3. No love for canadians

    1. No love for brazilians too, and total lack of love for world.

  4. How about just give me my 4.4 update and we’ll call it a day…

  5. If I’m understanding what happened, Google started up a contest. The contest runs for almost a month. About 3 weeks after the contest starts, and with only 4 days left in the contest, an Android blog site posts about the contest. The next day,(and with only 3 days left) Phandroid also posts about the contest. I love the timeliness of reporting around here.

  6. I just bought a nexus 7 from here http://bit.ly/183Orz7 (Ebay) great prices and a quality tablet from google. I would recommend getting the most memory you can as I have already used my 8GB
