Samsung Galaxy Round curved smartphone

Yesterday we filled you in on a rumor that Samsung’s long rumored flexible OLED display phone could launch with the name “Galaxy Round”. Today, that device may have been leaked by none other than @evleaks.

Aside from its model number (SM-G910S), no other details were given. Mr. Leaks was unable to confirm the “Round” moniker we heard Samsung could go with when the device is made official. While this particular model is headed for Korea, it’s unclear if Samsung will bring this monstrosity to other markets.

We’re not sure if we should only blame ourselves, but we had something much different pictured when we heard a “curved display”. Seems this is merely a bent Samsung Galaxy Note 3, minus the S Pen. We suppose this could help the device fit better in those skinny jeans the kids are wearing nowadays — but what do you think? Love it, or hate it?

This definitely leaves the door wide open for LG to swoop in with a better designed version of their own rumored flexible display smartphone, said the be called the LG Z. According to leaked images, LG’s device will bend a different way, more like an extreme version of the Galaxy Nexus we saw a few years back.

  4. Fake!!!!

    1. Agree, why would the front facing camera be pointing at an angle? If this is real, Samsung is just ridiculous.

      1. It has been confirmed as real :(

  5. Zero benefit from this kind of curve. Useless.

    1. I think it’s supposed to fit against the curve of your leg, but I agree. I don’t see it.

    2. There are non ascetic reasons. Like a lighter, thinner, less fragile display. If none of that is maximized in this phone then they are just trying to steal LG’s thunder and it will make them look bad.

      1. Trying to steal LG’s thunder? Samsung has been developing flexible displays for ages, too. Why wouldn’t they release it?

    3. it fits better in pockets, and it’s easier to reach the left side of the screen.

  6. DAFUQ? O_o

  7. this looks hilarious.

  8. Let’s take a moment to remember how starkly different the Galaxy Gear ended up being as compared to the leaked renderings. Unfortunately.

  9. No helicopter in the top left corner, fake for sure

  10. I can see that curve making it a little more comfortable to hold in your hand.

  11. That is not the final design. The image is to create hype around the unknown device.

  12. Here you go take my mone…wait a second!!! Okay Samsung that’s strike two!

  13. Why would I want a curved phone?

    Oh, that’s right. I wouldn’t.

  14. Before flat screens were the shiii, now curved screens are coming back…. go figure.

  15. When you guys mentioned “curved screen”….I thought will get a screen with big tities on it

  16. WTF??!!!!

  17. Lol this is what happens when you are simply just throwing out ideas simply to be first…. You over saturate the market… And you …produce…turds…(galaxy gear)… Hopefully this is fake

  18. Samsung Galaxy Taco :) go home samsung you drank

    1. I would like a Galaxy chalupa please, lol!!

    2. Samsung is always ahead of the competition. When everybody is rushing to release wearable devices Samsung is creating a new niche of tech products: edible devices!!!

  19. chris, where are the lg photo leaks? I am interested in seeing what they are possibly bringing to the table. this is definitely not worth a premium over the note 3 in my eyes if this is real

*nevermind, in the oct. 3rd post:

  20. iphones are much better than this, so pathetic for Samsung to create this POS.
iphones are the best and ipad is the best selling tablet ever.

    1. Really? I guess I missed the part where the iphone had a curved screen or a larger screen size.

    2. wtf, why are you posting on this android articles?

    3. IOS is for winners! hahaha you mean for weirdness?

    5. you’re an idiot

      1. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) I’ll be the bigger man here.

  21. And the point is?

    1. To put taco meat on the screen and consume.

      1. Finally a real good use for it!!

  22. Sorry, I’ll take my Note 3 over that ugly ish. I dunno why they felt the need to be first to market with this. They should’ve just held off, even if they weren’t first, to make the completely foldable screen.

    1. Was really hoping they’d do something fun and stylish, like bend the screen around the sides, or make it wrap around the top and bottom. *shrugs*

      1. Yup…Oh well. I’ll just wait until they finally get their concept/mock design to actual production.

  23. this is stupid

  24. *face palm!*

This makes about as much sense as the fox saying,
