Google+ update delivers notifications when photos are Auto Awesome’d

Google Plus photos auto awesome IO 2013

Google is issuing a new upgrade to the Google+ app (and the site, we imagine), and it brings with it a rather useful feature for those who enjoy the Auto Awesome feature: the ability to receive notifications when an auto-awesome photo is ready to be viewed. If you’re not in the know, Auto Awesome is a feature that will enhance your photos in several different ways, including automatically adjusting brightness and contract, color tones, and even putting a series of similar images into a GIF-like sequence.

While most photo enthusiasts would rather make their own photo corrections (some light tools for manual tweaks are available for you within Google+), Auto Awesome is a cool way to get the most out of the photos you upload and share with family and friends without having to put forth much effort. The upgrade is rolling out in the Google Play Store, and if other recent Google app updates are anything to go by I wouldn’t worry if you can’t find it right away. Be sure to find the Google+ app over in the Google Play Store.
