qualcomm uplinq 2013

Qualcomm wants to get folks really excited about their Snapdragon platform, including the current frontrunners known as the Snapdragon 600 and Snapdragon 800 chipsets. That’s why the Qualcomm Uplinq conference in San Diego, going down September 3rd through the 5th, is poised to be a big one, and it’s why we’re going to give one lucky winner a chance to attend the event live. So what can you expect out of Uplinq?

Uplinq is a wireless ecosystem conference, hosted by Qualcomm, that provides a cross-platform view of how to exploit the complete hardware-software system in today’s wirelessly connected devices to produce the most compelling user experiences.  As computing continues to be redefined, Uplinq provides a view into where wireless technologies, products and services are heading, and the business connections essential to making money.

Sounds great, right? But that’s not all that you can win from us today. We’re giving that same lucky winner an LG G2 for their troubles! This Snapdragon 800 beast is infused with 2GB of RAM, a 5.2-inch full HD display, a 13 megapixel camera, and a whole lot more features than one human being can handle. By now, you’re probably watering at the mouth and wondering what you have to do to enter.

LG-G2-1

Luckily, things are quite simple — go to this post on our Google+ page and leave a comment with an answer to the following question:

What’s your most anticipated feature inside the LG G2?

If you need a refresher about this beast of a phone, be sure to check out our G2 announcement post, as well as our hands-on video. We’ll also need you to +1 and share the post with all your friends! There are some more official details, rules and regulations that we’ll need to go through, though, so let’s get that taken care of right away.

Rules and Regulations

  • You must have an account on Google+ to enter. If you have a Google account, you likely have a Google+ account.
  • To enter, head to this post on Google+ and answer the following question: “What’s your most anticipated feature inside the LG G2?” After that, be sure to +1 and share the Google+ post with your friends and family.
  • Only one entry per person is allowed.
  • Entries will be accepted until Sunday, August 25th at 11:59PM Eastern time.
  • After the entry period, the Neverstill staff will select, at random, one (1) winner to receive a pass to Qualcomm Uplinq 2013 and an LG G2.
  • Winners must be aged 18 or older, and must live in the United States of America.
  • The winner must find their own travel and board to Qualcomm Uplinq in San Diego if they wish to attend.

And that’s pretty much it. There are just a couple of more housekeeping notes to take care of. For starters, you should know that once we pick a winner we will contact them via Google+ (using our official Google+ page). That winner will have 24-48 hours to respond. If we can’t get in contact with the winner within a reasonable amount of time, we will select a new winner. This process will continue until we can determine a winner.

We want to extend a huge “thank you” to Qualcomm for sponsoring this great giveaway, and we can’t wait to see who’s going to be lucky enough to head out to sunny San Diego in a couple of weeks. Make no delay in entering today!

The "Google Phone" sounded too awesome to pass up, so I bought a G1. The rest is history. And yes, I know my name isn't Wilson.

  1. No thanks not even for free LG sucks.

    1. nah

    2. My Optimus G is stellar. Most of their stuff outside of that has been very meh.

    3. No sir, you suck.

  2. I’d enter, but I do not use my Google+ account.

    1. Just because you don’t use it, doesn’t mean you can’t enter. You can turn your account on for a few and just wait.

  3. The LG G2 would be a great upgrade after using a Galaxy Nexus for the last 2 years.

  4. did i win!!!???

  5. Awesome give away :)

  6. Lets see where it goes. After N4, hope LG sticks out with the competition.

  7. :D awesom..

  8. Great contest and upcoming event!

  9. i think LG is like the Kia of the smartphone world… no matter how nice they make it look or how many features it come with it’s still a Kia err LG.

    1. like the kia cadenza!!!

      1. Man i swear. i passed one and was like “what is that!” saw kia on the back and was for real like “awww :-(, it looks really nice though.” Family guy did a kia spoof… “too bad it’s a Kia” lol

        1. I just bought a Kia Optima. Fantastic car, tons of features and damn is it good looking. I use to have a 98 BMW which was also a great car, but this Kia blows it away. I’m a gear head, but when I went to test drive one I fell in love. Ultimately I probably could have had a better experience with a BMW or Mercedes (tighter driving/more powerful), but I’d also being paying twice as much to get the same features. I was pleasantly surprised by Kia.

          1. I don’t think they are bad cars now but I remember how cheap they were for new cars. 9999 for a brand new Kia just seemed like something would fall off after you drove it off the lot

          2. yeah but that $10k car also came with a 10yr/100,000mi warranty

          3. Yea… because they knew the car would blow up at any given second lol. I understand a car for the working class but stick with that role. Kia since being an automotive maker has played the affordable economy role (Rio, spectre, etc), to the faux luxury role… can’t remember the name of the car but it resembled jaguar with the big grille and in those years they put fake wood grain in a majority of their cars, the “cool for the teens” (soul forte, forte koup), and now the technologically savvy luxury brand (cadenza). Once Kia can figure out what kinda car company they wanna be they won’t have a problem being a real factor. I mean the cadenza sold more than the Toyota Avalon. So by no means am I saying they are a terrible car company just saying something about a Kia just rubs me the wrong way.

          4. I remember when they were 5-6k for a new car, at that time my chevrolet truck was 11k. That S-10 was great, then they replaced it with a 17k Colorado which sucks, like all new American made automobiles.

          5. I remember them as cheap as $6,999 brand new. Basically an engine in a shell.

          6. Kia held a promo in my town. “$1 down” and we all thought “yea for super qualified buyers.” Nope. Show you have a steady income of any and a buck got you a Kia Rio. My sister got one for a graduation present.

          7. Hmm… I do graduate soon and I’m seeing a lot of good talk about Kia’s. I may have to invest in getting one.

          8. Oh man that promo was years ago and in the hood too before people said Kia was a nice car. Back then you got made fun of by people who were walking if you drove a Kia. Lol

          9. The company has come a long way. Bravo Kia.

          10. LoL!! That last part, though.

          11. I think that actually tells us how much other companies mark up their cars.

          12. In all honesty I would still buy a Kia over a Ford though. Lol *puts on bullet proof vest*

          13. I’m a Chevy guy, but I’m done buying American autos. American auto companies have went down the drain. They aren’t as reliable and no longer have the argument of “but it’s easy to fix”

          14. Chevy always seemed really reliable… Chrysler/jeep/dodge had bad auto transmissions. Ford had bad everything lol

    2. I own a Japanese make and in my honesty opinion i think thats the way to go unless you can afford German. And by afford i don’t mean purchasing the car i mean paying for maintenance, repairs, or just basic upkeep… 40 grand for a BMW seems ok but 10 grand a year for maintenance isn’t. it isn’t too much fun when you find out oil changes are $1000 and brakes and rotors are $800.

      1. Gotta love how a G2 article has turned into a KIA article. =)

        1. That shows how much weight the name LG has. lol I totally forgot the article was about an LG contest. I had to scroll up and look.

        2. I was so confused. I was like, “who’s talking about the HTC G2”? LoL!! How is LG able to use that name? =.S

      2. You can take that price and leave. $20 for an oil change in my old cheapo Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera. LoL!!

It’s not really cheapo. Just in comparison to a BMW. LoL!! I also benefit since Oldsmobiles were American made; owned by GM (General Motors).

        1. I know right… German cars are great. They never break down but maintaining them is what’s gonna kill you. Sad thing is I wasn’t exaggerating at all about those prices.lol

  10. If you win, do you have to go in through the backdoor?
    Or stay backstage?

Maybe you have to be a backup if something happens.

    Back to work!

  11. Made my share and comment earlier. Would love to have this phone!

  12. On what carrier is this LG G2 prize?

    1. That is a good question. I was assuming it was unlocked since it wasn’t mentioned.

      1. That would make sense. One can’t be too picky either way.

    2. I would guess unlocked, so T-Mo and AT&T.

  13. Done and done! :) I would love to have this phone >.<

  14. I believe the post is full either that or I cant comment.

  15. Yeah, I ran into that problem as well. It won’t let you leave a post on the G+ page.

Hey Phandroid, open up the posts !

  16. Comments disabled :(

  17. Besides quick window and guest mode I must say that the most anticipated feature inside the LG G2 is the fingerprint scanner. As a public servant I work quite often with biometrics, in addition to owning a notebook that has a fingerprint scanner built in that I use very often.

I know this doesn’t count but I figured why not, since g+ will not allow anymore comments.

  18. that only allows 500 comments (per g+ thread). won’t work, folks.

  19. as usual only for USA, sigh

  20. Post not enabled. enter me in this way please. I love the processor….it won’t be antiquated any time soon. There’s nothing worse than buying a state of the art phone that won’t play games a year later.

  21. The new display on the 5.2″ screen looks AMAZING! Also the Slide Aside looks cool. Hope this counts as my entry, the post on Google+ isnt there. The link above is dead.

  22. tiny bezels and rear buttons, oh yea!

  23. This is all I get when I try to enter, “This post could not be found.

Your URL may be incorrect, the post may have been deleted, or this account may not have access to the post.”

    Thanks,
