I've been obsessed with consumer technology for about as long as I can remember, be it video games, photography, or mobile devices. If you can plug it in, I have to own it. Preparing for the day when Android finally becomes self-aware and I get to welcome our new robot overlords.

HTC One S wont be updated to Android 4.2.2 or Sense 5, to remain on Android 4.1.2

  1. Can’t wait till it gets here in the US! I was so hoping they would include something that would allow you to remove the facebook, flickr, and picasa displays from the gallery…it’s a small thing but boy does it bug the crap out of me…more so than Blinkfeed…and I don’t like Blinkfeed either.

    1. The update does remove the Facebook images in the Gallery, been rocking the leak for weeks and its Ben working like a charm

  2. Okay I can’t take it anymore it’s time to take the plunge and root , been all set up on my desktop for a week…………………here goes nothing the new base is already available in a ROM
called InsertCoin- by baadnewz….in the international HTC ONE XDA. Forums ………….

    1. U will not regret it, your One will be running as it should have out-the-box

  3. Too bad, it’s the LAST update

    1. I doubt that. It’s a flagship, and if the HTC One X will be receiving the update (which it will), then the HTC One will be guaranteed for 4.3/4.4 (or 5.0).

Either way, I know I’ll be up-to-date thanks to the BAMFs over at XDA.

      1. Guaranteed? I hope so… but I also doubt it. Sorry, but as much as I’ve always liked HTC, they have a track record… and it’s not good.

          1. And? David, like I said, I hope so. But the past is the past. And the past does not favor HTC in regards to updates. At least not timely updates, and at least in my opinion.

  4. “Show battery level in status bar”

    Game Changer.

  5. No ROMS for me, im waiting for the official download.

  6. Can’t wait to be able to get rid of that damn menu bar again, i want to see all my screen again dammit :P
