Verizon Pantech Perception now available for $100

2

With Verizon announcing its release date for the Samsung Galaxy S4 yesterday we’re sure some users’ arms are being pulled in that particular direction, but let’s not forget the carrier has another smartphone launching today. The Pantech Perception, while not the world’s most exciting device, will come in at $100 for those who need a decent smartphone that won’t cost too much.

It features a 4.8 inch Super AMOLED HD display, a 1.5GHz dual-core processor of unknown make, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, an 8 megapixel HD camera with a 2 megapixel front camera, 4G LTE, NFC and more. The perception also happens to be global-ready for those of you who find yourselves outside the country more often than not.

It’ll be launching with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with Pantech’s custom user interface on top. Don’t worry, though, because Verizon pinky swears that we will be seeing Jelly Bean at some point down the line. Get over to Verizon’s site and place an order if heavy hitters like the DROID DNA, RAZR MAXX HD, or the illustrious new Samsung Galaxy S4 aren’t your thing.
