500px update brings new photo discovery interface, and a beta channel launches

0

One of our favorite photo apps on Android — 500px — has gotten a big upgrade in the Google Play Store today. The biggest change will be 500px Flow, a new way for you to view new photos that are “automagically” curated based on your friends’ actions. If your friend uploads a photo, likes someone else’s photo, comments on a photo, and perform other actions, you’ll see all those laid out in a beautiful and easy-to-view way.

Alongside that, users can also find their Facebook and Twitter friends on 500px using connections to said social services. And for those who are a bit more adventurous, a beta channel for the Android app has launched that will let you in on all the juicy goodness of the latest developments ahead of the stable channel.

As it’s a beta, this version of the app is never guaranteed to be bug-free, so keep that in mind if you decide to go that route. You can find the free upgrade for the stable version here, while the beta version can be had in the Google Play Store here.
