Rovio’s The Croods is now available

4

It wasn’t long ago we were let in on a new project by Rovio called The Croods. The game is based on the Dreamworks Animation movie by the same name, but at that time we didn’t have much of an idea of what to expect. Well, the game is finally available in the Google Play Store and it’s quite interesting. The game puts you in control of the stone age family, and your job is to hunt and capture genetically mixed creatures and create new inventions to get your family to the next stage of human evolution.

The game will feature 10 of said creatures, which include the “Girelephant” and the “Molarbear”. Whacky, right? You can even dress your world up with chic caveman furniture, if that’s your thing. The game is free to play, but you can bet the price tag is subsidized by something. In-game purchases are the driving force behind this one, but Rovio notes the game can be played without putting in a single dime. As annoying as this model is, folks, it doesn’t look to be going away anytime soon. You know the drill — try it in the Google Play Store, and let us know what you think after giving Grug and his family a good workout.

The "Google Phone" sounded too awesome to pass up, so I bought a G1. The rest is history. And yes, I know my name isn't Wilson.
