Jelly Bean rolling out over-the-air for AT&T’s Sony Xperia TL

1

Though it has been available via Sony’s PC companion software since the beginning of the month, AT&T today has announced the over-the-air rollout of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean for the Sony Xperia TL. The new software version implements all the enhancements of the Jelly Bean version of Google’s mobile OS, including advanced notifications, Google Now, and more.

In terms of device-specific updates, Xperia TL owners can expect a new camera experience featuring a Superior Auto mode and HDR capabilities. Users will also gain access to AT&T DriveMode, an app designed to help limit texting while driving by sending an auto-reply to messages when moving faster than 25MPH.

To check for the update, Xperia TL owners can navigate to ‘Software update’ under the ‘About phone’ dialog of the ‘Settings’ menu.
