But just because they weren’t featured doesn’t mean they aren’t worth taking a look at. In fact, there’s almost always a little something here for everyone. So, take a look around and let us know if you find anything of interest.

I've been obsessed with consumer technology for about as long as I can remember, be it video games, photography, or mobile devices. If you can plug it in, I have to own it. Preparing for the day when Android finally becomes self-aware and I get to welcome our new robot overlords.

  1. Comments are fun “sometimes” ? Well, well, well see if I comment again ;)

  2. omg. By all means: we should obaess over this epic battle of the ages as if it were the most pressing issue facing humanity.

    1. Humanity? No. Just one man utilizing the power of Android to overcome evil.

Interesting story. You know, for the day :)

    2. it’s just a story. No need to slit your wrists over the world’s problems as they aren’t all sitting on your shoulders. Chill out hipster.

  3. >Sony’s entry level Android device.

Sony said they were doing higher end only. Then they release “mid-range”. Now they release “entry level”.

Must be taking lessons from HTC, lol.

    1. Ikr. If xperia z comes in as at&t exclusive, expect an xperia z+ lol

  4. Title should be renamed, “Apple takes top smartphone vendor title from Samsung in the U.S.”

    1. EXACTLY!!! USA arrogance is astonishing. “World Series” erm, played by ONE country etc… OK maybe two or three or four countries, but the point is that elsewhere in the world, like now when 6 countries are playing Rugby, it is called “The 6 Nations Rugby Championship” – not the frigging WORLD Series. BTW, “America” is the landmass which includes North and South America… the USA took the name for themselves (as though the others don’t matter).

      1. how is this arrogance? Derppotesh.

      2. Geez, don’t get your panties in a bunch. Be happy we’ll still come cover your ass when the shyte hits the fan.

        ;-P

PS: all of the best players in the world generally go to ONE country to play.

        :-D

        1. It’s amazing to me that people like you are able to perform the same functions that I can. I mean, you can operate a vehicle, you can turn a knob on your shower and wash yourself properly, you can get a job and go to work, you can probably cook a meal for yourself,.you can even navigate and comment on a website for technically literate people.

          How does that work?

          1. Wow… Not sure why you just chewed me out… It was just good natured joking… Didn’t you see the little smiley faces?

Did I do that right? ;-P

      3. ‘Murica.

      4. Dont be mad that we are number one. Just kidding. We realize there are other people in the world, just remember phandroid.com is a American site. It makes sense it will be biased towards the USA.

        1. IMDB was created by and is run by a British person. So does that mean they should start talking about the #1 UK movie as THE #1 movie? I think not.

      5. Toronto is definitely not in america.

      6. ummm Canada is not part of the US

    2. I don’t see the point in any negative votes for this comment, I was simply stating the truth.

    3. “Apple takes top smartphone vendor title from Samsung in the U.S.” and in the last quarter of 2012, samsung still the champion of the year

    4. Yeah, Apple can lead in the US only, while the rest of the world loves Samsung!

  5. For the quarter…

  6. They’re probably making it a big deal because of declining Apple stock …

  7. apple only won leader in America global leader is Samsung!

  8. I swear, people IPhone people have no individuality at all!!! I’m sooo sick of the damn IPhone!!!

Is the S3 & Note 2 not making any dents at all in stealing IPhone converts???

    1. wtf did i just read?

    2. You outta thank God for the iPhone; without it, whatever POS iPhony you choose to carry probably wouldn’t exist….

      1. Um, Android existed before iOS even went into development. Might it have turned out differently? Sure but I doubt we’d still be using the terrible touch screens we had on smartphones from the early 2000s and be using bulky PDA-like devices.

Stop giving Apple so much credit.

        1. What exactly is the point of bringing up that Android existed before iOS when it did a complete about-face when the iPhone was revealed??? It is one of the most irrelevant point I’ve seen….

          1. Whether the iPhone was revealed or not, smartphones would have evolved into what they are today, maybe not at the same pace but they would have anyway. The LG Prada was proof of that. It came out BEFORE the iPhone.

  9. I’m sure it was a joke of yours, Chris, but pre-paid plans are only for women? Really?

    1. Wait- what? When the heck did I say that? xD

  10. Chrome Beta: Still slower at simple scrolling than non-beta
    TWRP: ^5

  11. Ya US sales only how significant. 300 million people vs. almost 7 billion worldwide where Samsung is top dog.

  12. The pop up ads on every single webpage on phandroid is really taking its toll. .

    1. Every single web page? It should only be once a day or something like that. I’ll talk to our admin.

      1. Thanks Chris. Fixed now I think!

  13. i really dont care if apple is able to outsell everyone. my concern has always been apple’s stupid patent lawsuits and it seems many of them are being reversed or denied.

  14. In key lime pie, I want a weekly key lime pie sent to my home! I really like the graham cracker base I guess!

  15. Why do you insist on posting stories with your face and shitty haircut as the thumb nail? I thought this was about android, not your personal photo album. Really ruins the experience in pulse.

    1. Relax that’s no need to have your jimmies rustled.

  16. Gosh,. . .some people on here sure are pricks!!!

  17. Apple is about 14 minutes through it’s alloted 15 minutes of fame
