Here are some of the latest games your MOGA will natively support

20

With the mobile gaming space ramping up, more and more companies are looking to capitalize on the wireless controller market. One of the biggest players has been PowerA and its MOGA Bluetooth controller. The beauty of the controller is its built-in clip that’ll cradle devices of many screen sizes to provide a more traditional handheld-like gaming experience.

PowerA has worked hard to get support from some of the Play Store’s top developers, including Rockstar, Gameloft and more. The company has given us a full list of the latest titles that have either already launched with MOGA support or will be launching soon. Check it out:

  • Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour (Gameloft)
  • BATTLE BEARS ROYALE (SkyVu Entertainment)
  • Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (Rockstar)
  • Wild Blood (Gameloft)
  • Dead Trigger (MADFINGER Games)
  • Jet Set Radio (SEGA)
  • NFL Pro 2013 (Gameloft)
  • Tiki Kart3D (Arb Studios)
  • Expendable Rearmed (Retrobomb)
  • The Bard’s Tale (inXile Entertainment)

This’ll be a useful list for those who’ve just bought one or received one for the holiday season, and with tons of people receiving their free MOGA units from the promotion that ran last week we’re sure a ton will be looking into what games they’ll be able to use it with. Those are some great titles so be sure to check them out in the Play Store and put the controller through its paces.

Don’t forget that if you have a MOGA and a rooted device you can use it to control any game with standard controller support. All you need are these third party drivers and you are good to go to play any game or emulator that supports standard controllers. Be sure to check the MOGA out at PowerA’s website, and read on for full press details.

  1. I might have to go scoop one of those controllers up

    1. Indeed.

Seems easier to carry than the BT controller I have now.

  2. The timing on this post seems fishy… Especially with no sources pointed out.

    1. Sorry you lost me. There is a press release right up yonder. ↑ Source is the horse.

    2. Eh? Well, if you’re insinuating it’s a sponsored post I can assure you it isn’t. As Rob Wild said, the press release is the source and it’s something we thought was worth pointing out. Cheers!

  3. Anyone tried this with Minecraft? I know it’s not on the list, but I didn’t know if it would work with some other games out there.

  4. I got my free one the other day works great for Drift 2 way easier to play games with it. Takes some time to get use to the analog nubs any psp owner will know what its like . Well worth the 5 bucks i paid and came with 3 free games

  5. I’ve been trying to figure out the what racing game is featured in the MOGA ad picture featured above. Does anybody know what game that is?

    1. hard to say doesnt look like Asphalt 7

  6. Isn’t the big market going to be for gaming cradles to fit 7″ tablets? Phone screens are too small and phones already have battery life problems.

    1. Not really. My GS3 gets roughly the same battery life as a PS Vita. This is with Wi-fi and LTE on, while playing NFS Most Wanted.

      1. My phone, Galaxy Note 1, will run out of power in one afternoon even if I don’t use it very much. I have to baby it. My Nexus 7, otoh, would last a couple of days with moderate usage for me.

The screen size is not as important as battery life, but 7-inches is still a lot better than the 5.3 or whatever it is I have.

  7. Not sure why anyone would want to buy this when you can get a ps3 controller which feels much better in hand with better hardware. Im enjoying my Note 2 with the ps3 controller wirelessly on my 40 inch.

    1. Wow. that’s fantastic

      1. yeah, i saw this thing in person and the size is small the analog is really sub par compared to the ps3s. buttons are small. there is no reason to get this, just letting our android buddies know

        1. the point is portability and convenience, is the moga perfect? no but it’s small enough to shove in my jacket pocket and comes with a good clip that easily holds my phone very steady. Many people, myself included normally only play many of these more arcade like games on the go when out and about. Lugging around a ps3 controller and some sort of mount is much much more bulky and not convenient at all. If I want to play a full game at home, I turn on my xbox360.

I’m talking about games that really need a controller like vice city, or an emulator, not fruit ninja or angry birds lol.

    2. well unless you managed to affix some kind of holder for your phone… that is a good place to start.

  8. STILL waiting for mine.
