Google’s Android Team spreads the holiday cheer with Nexus devices [VIDEO]

11

We’ve been getting plenty of videos lately showing off Google’s lineup of Nexus devices, but the latest may be our favorite yet. Less of a commercial than a digital greeting card, the short spot tells the story of a lonely Android yearning for a bit of holiday cheer. Thanks to the Nexus 4, Nexus 7, Nexus 10, and the help of a few Googlers he got just what he wished for (look closely and you can even spot unreleased docks for the Nexus 7 and Nexus 10) .

Cutesy? Yes. Cool, nevertheless? Absolutely. We especially dig the stop motion animation. Kind of makes us wish for a full-length holiday spectacular in the style of Rankin/Bass and starring Bugdroid. We can certainly wish, right? Happy Holidays back at ya, Google!

  2. I can confirm some real Google devs there!

  3. Cool let me know when you can get one with CDMA/LTE like over half the US population uses and I’ll buy one.

    1. Verizon’s marketshare is actually closer to 1/3, not half. AT&T, T-Mobile, and Straight Talk are about half of US subscribers.

    2. Same old, same old…. change the record – it appears to b have gotten stuck ! ! Boooooooriiiiiiiiing !!!

    3. and the majority of that CDMA is Verizon. the rest of the world is GSM. Verizon had their chance Google even gave them an exclusive but they ruined the nexus they had so no more nexus for them. i could see them working with sprint for a CDMA version but it might be at Sprint wanting to bight the bullet to produce it since it would have to be a whole separate device from the rest.

  4. very nice

  5. CDMA is a old technology gsm all the way

  6. Google should concentrated on fixing the shambles of the nexus4 launch – got there stock levels replenished, sorted out the play store checkout/ordering/shipping [FIFO]bugs.

Then start hyping up the phone & market the thing.

  7. This video really puts me in the holiday spirit! I love you too Google…keep making the best OS around even better.
