Canadian Android lovers miffed at their neighbors south of the border can rest assured. The Great White North is next up for the Nexus 4, with the Android 4.2 flagship going on sale later today at 12 noon PST via the Google Play Store. Google began informing those that signed up for notifications about the device’s availability this morning.
Those hopeful to pick up the handset will need to act quick, as high demand has forced a stock shortage that currently sees the US version of the device delayed for five to six weeks. It is unclear if the same shipping delays will apply to Canadian orders, but it wouldn’t be surprising.
The Nexus 4 is priced at $309 with 8GB of storage and $359 with 16GB. The handset, which is manufactured by LG, carries a 4.7-inch HD display and quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor.

and remember to hit the order/fullfill button even if its “greyed” out…. (or get the script that does that)

Better device, so why not. Its not like you can upgrade the 8GB afterwards… for $50 more out of the gate, get a device that will last you a year or two!

Google has fixed the greyed out button workaround. Back to manually clicking….. and yes! Got my 16GB lovely in under 10 minutes (ships in 1-2 weeks).
Edit: Was able to order one from the US last week (ships 3-4 weeks), guess I’ll be posting in Craigslist for whichever arrives last. :-(

If you have a GNexus, I agree, but if you don’t and want timely upgrades, this is the ONLY phone to buy for the next 12 months. Plus, If you buy it off contract, you can save money with a lower priced plan.

Lucky me i got mine the first time around. Its a great device for sure, but 7-8 weeks waiting list is too much by that time the 1080p resolution phones become the new standard. And Cortex A15 CPUs will just be around the corner too. But if you want a nexus I guess it’s worth the wait. But if I had to wait till February I think I might either get an HTC DNA or even wait for the Galaxy S4, root and add JB ROM.

How much is the shipping time actually? Planing to order one as soon as it gets available in Germany but not going to wait more than 1 – max 2 weeks cuz i’d be out of toun thats rediculous Google!
I managed to get one in the first 15 minutes, from my One S, no less. lol Shipping time is 3-4 weeks. Hopefully these shipping estimates are just Google playing it safe.
