ASUS Transformer Pad Infinity Jelly Bean update delayed until next week

3

While ASUS Transformer Prime users have been enjoying the Jelly Bean update as of earlier this morning, those carrying the Pad Infinity may have to wait a tad longer than expected. ASUS representative Gary Key took to XDA to notify people that the update was delayed about a week or so.

The delay was thanks to an update to the Facebook app, as well as updates to other apps, that required ASUS to tweak the keyboard to operate correctly. Once those issues are ironed out they’ll be pushing the update out right away. Be patient, my  friends — those delicious beans aren’t going to take long to get to your tablet. [via XDA]

  1. Dang, I was all excited for tomorrow :( I’m glad that they are ironing out more bugs though. There are already so many in the existing release. I really hope that this JB release resolves a lot of issues and makes the tablet worth buying, finally.

  2. Very exciting news! Please come to discuss on my newly started Android Forum – http://www.droidbb.com

  3. So, wait. The update was fine to push out to the Prime but not the Infinity…because of the keyboard? Fine, push me the update. I use the Prime keyboard with mine, anyway.
