Indestructible Now Available From Glu Mobile – It’s Like Having Twisted Metal In Your Pocket

11

Glu Mobile has just released their latest freemium title, Indestructible, into the Play Store and it’s now available for most Android devices. One glance at the banner above, and you probably already know what to expect. If memories of playing Twisted Metal locked in your parents basement will immediately come rushing into your head, I wouldn’t blame you seeing as how the gameplay is largely similar. Players pick their vehicle of mayhem and rain fiery death onto opponents in hopes of coming out as victor. Make no mistake, there’s no racing involved — this is strictly vehicle-based combat.

As usual with Glu Mobile titles, Indestructible is completely free to play, but users can buy in-game items using real money, to give them that extra competitive edge. Here’s Indestructible’s feature set:

4-PLAYER REAL-TIME MULTIPLAYER ACTION
Including three unique multiplayer game modes: Capture the Flag, Death Match and Recover The Charge

STUNNING HIGH-QUALITY GRAPHICS
Advanced visual effects designed for the latest devices!

TONS OF UNIQUE ITEMS
Customize you vehicles with rocket launchers, laser guns, auto-cannons and more!

THREE ARENAS
All set in a gritty post-apocalyptic world. Battle with your latest vehicle creations!

ADVANCED PHYSICS ENGINE
Enabling awesome stunts such as flips and power-slides!

I haven’t had an opportunity to check it out just yet, but given that it’s free, a download is only inevitable. If you guys give it a shot, let me know how you like it. Google Play link is provided below.

I've been obsessed with consumer technology for about as long as I can remember, be it video games, photography, or mobile devices. If you can plug it in, I have to own it. Preparing for the day when Android finally becomes self-aware and I get to welcome our new robot overlords.

  1. I’ll go ahead and download, need a new game for my Sprint GNex

    1. I’m often wondering something, so I’ll just ask. Why do people feel the need to mention which phone they have when it’s irrelevant?

      1. Because they want the world to know what they have. There are a variety of Android devices, so it’s cool to know what phones people have. Well, some may not use the word “cool”, but yea.

Like my Epic 4G Touch and Nexus 7. I think Chris has the E4GT. He had the same case as me. How dare he copy my style!? Little does he know that I have the exact same case on my Nexus 7 too. =.P

See^^ It was useless to say that he had the same case, but oh well… LoL!!

      2. Sometimes it is relevant, it acts as confirmation that this app or game works on said device. Ever read forums where people complain that a certain app/game does not work on device? Well when you mention it, it takes the guess work out of a thread.

      3. I do it sometimes because I like knowing the devices people or downloading stuff for. And yea sometimes it can be irrelevant but sometimes it is useful to know.

      4. It’s good for developer feedback — not every dev has access to every phone, stating which ones work and which ones don’t is helpful.

  2. free to play. Boy I likes me some free.

  3. Nice… I’ve been waiting for a game like this….Plus, did you guys know Carmageddon is coming out with a sequel soon???

  4. Glu makes garbage, sure it looks good, but when it takes you 6 weeks of playing everyday to accomplish anything in their games. And if you want to get through the game faster you can buy stuff with REAL money. Hahaha

  5. I see that this is another Freemium. If I don’t have to pay more than $5 to beat the game, then it would be fine. I can go with taking my lunch for one day. But I’ll see how this game plays. Some Freemiums are actually worth the little extra. Some…

  6. Yeah as others have said it looks like such a great game but I won’t be
downloading because of IAPs! I would probably even pay as much as
$4.99-6.99 for this game too as it looks awesome! I’m just tired of
devs, especially glu, using IAPs to ruin game experiences. The only game
I have EVER liked with IAPs is Dead Trigger as you don’t have to ever
buy IAPs unless you want some radical gun or items quickly. Otherwise
I’ve gotten to level 28 with no purchases and tons of guns and items! Quickly start the download and then rate it 1 star!
