Continuing its aggressive momentum in delivering an all new 3G and 4G LTE network experience for customers, Sprint announced on Monday that 4G LTE construction has begun in more than 100 more cities within its existing nationwide 3G footprint. Major metropolitan areas in which Sprint 4G LTE is expected to be available in the coming months include Boston; Charlotte, N.C.; Chicago; Indianapolis; Los Angeles; Memphis, Tenn.; Miami; Nashville, Tenn.; New Orleans; New York; Philadelphia; and Washington, D.C.

During the pre-launch phase, customers with 4G LTE devices may begin to see 4G LTE coverage in these areas and are welcome to use the network even before it officially launches. The "Google Phone" sounded too awesome to pass up, so I bought a G1. The rest is history. And yes, I know my name isn't Wilson.

  1. Even cheap phones are better than my Nexus S now! Yay progress!

I can’t wait to upgrade to the next Nexus (prolly not, impatience) or the Note 2.

    1. Nexus S >.> if this thing had a 4.65 inch screen it would be up to par with the Galaxy Nexus hardware wise.

      1. that’s a stupid thing to say, bigger screen doesn’t necessarily make a phone better, that’s completely subjective, not everyone wants a giant slab that barely fits in their pockets (women especially) as far as other specs this phone has a much faster processor, bigger battery, and removable storage

        1. I dint say a bigger screen makes a phone better, i said its nearly identical to the Galaxy Nexus. 1.2ghz dual core, 5mp main cam, 1.3 front, 1gb ram. all its missing is the 4.65 inch screen

          1. oh i see, the >.> was a face not a greater than ;)

          2. lol yea

  2. Droid Rzr M over this any day

    1. Agreed

    2. at the same price point definitely! what was sprint thinking? this should be $50-$75 with NO mail in rebate… hopefully for the gf, they’ll have it cheaper at best buy or something, otherwise we’ll have to wait a month for the price to drop due to no one buying these :p

      1. Agree. $50 would have been the perfect price point for this phone.. Still better than the 4s..

  3. It has almost the same hardware as the iphone 5.
    :-D

  4. This thing has been leaked for months. Good to see it hitting the streets finally.

  5. I don’t get why they are still releasing devices with ICS, they could just skip ICS all together and go to JB, its pointless to spend like a month to get ICS to a device and then spend another month or so porting JB to it when you can just go to directly to JB

  6. SAMSUNG TOTALLY COPIED APPLE WITH THIS PHONE! EVERYBODY KNOWS APPLE JUST INVENTED THE 4″ SCREEN!! :p
