11

For those interested in purchasing the recently announced Motorola Droid Razr M, you may want to jump on the Verizon Wireless website where the mid-ranged device is currently being offered for just $100 with a 2-year agreement. I’m sure by now you know all the deets, but as a refresher the Droid Razr M features:

  • 4.3-inch “edge-to-edge” qHD display
  • 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm S4 processor
  • 1GB of RAM
  • 2,000mAh battery
  • 8MP rear/1.3MP front facing camera
  • NFC
  • Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich

Those that buy online via Verizon Wireless’ official site will receive the device for $100 (after $50 instant rebate). Those that buy the device in stores will have to fork out $150 upfront with a $50 mail-in rebate (bringing it down to $100 as well). Anyone picking one up?

I've been obsessed with consumer technology for about as long as I can remember, be it video games, photography, or mobile devices. If you can plug it in, I have to own it. Preparing for the day when Android finally becomes self-aware and I get to welcome our new robot overlords.

  1. Not with big reds current teired pricing I wont. I am on boost mobile with unlimited everything at about $40 a month with one more drop of $5 to bring it to $35 a month

    1. Yeah, if only Boost Mobile was powered by Verizon’s network and not Sprint’s =/

      1. boost is tolerable especially code the price and will be better when network vision is complete but I am jumping back to T-Mobile on Oct 5th I’m just hoping the note2 is available by then if nos gs3

      2. Agreed Chris Verizon is a lot better around here then sprint my parents are on verizon and have 4 bars most of the time I barely get 1 and most times I have zero 3g.

  2. Igotta say this, Motorola and LG have both stepped up their games with their New devices I wouldn’t put them on the same level of quality/awesomeness as HTC or Samsung but their isroom for four big players and I love reading about (and selling) these new devices. I had a hands on with the LG today and it is a monster. it is still an LG but damn it moves with grace. and I have to say the same for the Motorola hd (post recent suffixes) I carried it for a week before release and was very happy with it. keep on keeping on!

  3. So… I’m hearing the Razr M doesn’t have video out, not even MHL? o_O

  4. What’s funny is the negative reviews on verizon’s site which are either fake or from someone too lazy to leave them on the correct phone…

  5. I hate to say this but I’m having a hard time deciding whether to get this phone or the new iphone for my dad. He’ll be 70 next year and has never owned a smartphone. He doesn’t want a massive phone and he works in an area where signal can be an issue so I’m not considering the s3. Also he keeps saying he wants it to take good pictures and that is the whole reason I’m considering the new iphone bc all the reviews on the M say the camera is awful.

    1. I just bought this for my dad, it will be his first smartphone as well. I honestly dont think it will be a problem. The sample shots were not “awful, just not very good in comparision to the Iphone. Very usable in my opinion. If you want a studio quality use a full size camera :P
