Lost in the big announcements rolling in over the past few days was a little teaser video LG uploaded to youTube to get potential buyers excited about the upcoming Optimus G. As expected, a big focus of the short clip is the phone’s quad-core processing power that easily sets it apart from the pack. The video only gives a fleeting glimpse of the actual Optimus G handset, but its “world without limits” rhetoric does its best to get the message across.

LG hasn’t been coy about the Optimus G, but there is still plenty to learn about the device. But most attention will be paid to its new quad-core Snapdragon S4 processor, and rightfully so. It promises to give all other chips on the market a run for their.

  1. The only teaser I want to see is one saying it’ll be available as a pure Nexus device that can be used on Verizon’s network. That’s the kind of “world without limits” I could really buy into.

    1. If it’s on Verizon’s network (or sprint) it can’t be pure nexus..

      1. Exactly. GSM vs CDMA is one limit I’d love to see go away.

        1. same.. but since CDMA isnt going anywhere.. I’d love to see VZW start using VoLTE

    2. “Verizon” and “unlimited” don’t belong in the same sentence.

  3. WANNA KNOW IF THIS IS FASTER THEN EXYNOS 1.6 QUAD CORE …

    1. exynos = quad core A9, this thing is rumored to have the Snapdragon S4 Pro quad core Krait which is A15 based. in CPU power its def better then the Exynos but when it comes to GPU I don’t think theirs going to be a big difference

      1. Actually, the Adreno 320 is also said to be more powerful than anything else, including the Mali 400 MP. But let’s see, all shall be clear when this beast of a processor hits the market on devices :D

  4. I agree, say no to LG! LG bites!!
