And Now A Full Frontal Image of Myserious HTC Device Pictured In The Wild

40

After sleuthing around the Chinese forums, one of our readers was able to dig up this new full frontal image of the mysterious HTC device we told you guys about on Friday. The image really doesn’t provide much more info other than giving us a blurry look at the front of the device and we can only guess whether it’s HTC’s rumored 5-inch device, or a regular ‘ol 4.7-incher.

Chinese forums have the device pegged as the HTC Endeavor C2 — otherwise known as the One X+ — a souped up version of the One X that will feature more RAM, along with a snappier 1.7GHz quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor. Rumor also has it, the device will be compatible with existing One X accessories and although it’s tough to tell from the above pic, I suppose it’s entirely possible HTC could have squeezed an extra .3-inches on the screen onto the body without increasing the overall size. Expect this guy to launch Q4 of this year.

Thanks, Charlie!

  1. And the legend of the Loch Ness Phone was born.

  2. looks like an iphone

    1. …because the front is all black?

      1. …because it’s a black rectangle?

        1. with rounded corners

          1. lol can’t forget the rounded corners!!

        2. You guys have it all wrong it looks like an iphone because it’s a smart phone and the iphone was the FIRST smartphone. Therefore all smartphones are seamless iphone KIRFs. Can’t believe you noobs didn’t know iphone was the original smartphone. ;-)

          1. Seamless = shameless

          2. Don’t forget Apple invented the tablet and was the first to use 3G too!

    2. It’s the three buttons.

      1. the iphone has three buttons now? :/

    3. I am sorry you are mistaken, the iPhone looks like this phone.

  3. It’s the top device that HTC sends out at the end of all years…. Desire HD, Sensation XL, One XL+

  4. I didn’t bite on the samsung note but if you write HTC on the front and I want it…. Is anyone a huge fan of sense or is it just me?

    1. I dont. I have the evo design running 4.0 and sence 3.6 I cant stand sence especily coming from a galaxy nexus (verizons outrageous prices) but the only thing keeping me sane is Holo launcher hd gives a neat stock feel. at least I gave sence a try but not for me.

      1. Sense 3.6 and sense 4.0(4.1) are two completely different beasts

        1. 4.1 is easily the king here, but 3.6 is stable as hell.

          1. of course, i was just saying that if you dont like one doesnt mean you wont like the other.

          2. Touche

          3. agree with both of you, 4.1 is running smooth on my one x but 3.6 is a tank for sure. I am seriously excited about this device, I want to see a hybrid of sense and the tablet interface.

          4. I would like to see HTC color up the UI a bit more, imo. It’s extremely bland with all the white in the status bar.

      2. That’s the problem! you came from a high end phone with good specs to a mid range phone. Try the Evo Lte with its newly updated sense 4.1, it will change your mind. I came from the Sprint GNexus to it and I’m not looking back!!

        1. I have to agree with you but HTC is good at matching their ui with the power of the device.my evo 3d runs 3.5 smooth as crap even my og evo is running 3.5 smoothly. and neither are close to the power of my vivid and it runs perfectly on that device as well. a lot of people bag on HTC for their updates but no one complains about how smooth it runs its current os level or ui.

    2. I enjoyed it on my Evo 4G and Evo 3D. I’m hoping it’s a Note competitor.

    3. Sense 4.1 is the best HTC has done yet. I would say it is close to the best manufacturer launcher out there.

      1. but it would be better if it wouldn’t need so much system requirement

    4. I love HTC phones and I think sense is the best overlay out of the bunch, but nothing beats the pure Google OS.

    5. It’s still too limited – Since ICS I think skins are pointless Android is perfectly polished and I prefer my own Launcher (at the minute Nova)

  5. the top grill looks like an incredible, without as much red

  6. I would love the One series if I could take the battery out and put an SD card in it. I know a lot of people dont care about those things, but I do, and I wont settle for a phone that cant do it. Especially when the sIII can, and the sIV probably will too.

    1. Also, can we just call this The Endeavor? Saying One Plus doesnt roll of the tongue very well.

  7. OMG! I thought that was an iPhone because it was a rectangle with rounded corners!!!!

    1. Omg! You need to have your eyes checked!!!!

      1. I see someone doesn’t understand sarcasm.

    2. The motion of patent infringement has already been filed.

  8. I’d buy that. Only if it had a removable battery though. Also, a unlocked or unlock-able bootloader. Its perfect otherwise.

  9. I love the Monty Python reference there Chris! :D

  10. Looks very iPhonish,

Please more inspiring designs HTC, bring back the “chin”!
