Magisto, a “magical” video editing app, now available for Android

9

This past January we were told of a new video editing tool that was headed to iOS. Its name was Magisto, and it promised to be one of the most easy and “magical” editing suites we’ve seen.

The idea was to take a series of clips from users and automatically make a video out of them. It would determine the style, order of the clips, and sound based on an algorithm that they are understandably unwilling to share. It actually works pretty well.

Unfortunately the Android version wasn’t quite ready then, but 8 hard months later it’s finally arrived in the Google Play Store. If you have a collection of clips that seem awkward alone, be sure to give Magisto a try (it’s free) and see if it doesn’t help put them to good use. Get it from the Google Play Store here.

The "Google Phone" sounded too awesome to pass up, so I bought a G1. The rest is history. And yes, I know my name isn't Wilson.

  3. Algorithms and I don’t ever seem to get along.

  4. Tried it but keep getting video processing failed.

  5. How does my comment get deleted. ” I tried the program and got the message “Video Processing Failed.” I was using a Galaxy Tab 10.1 and tried several different clips and each time I got the same message. I was hoping someone would reply, “Oh try this, or that.” but no my comment gets deleted. Seriously.

    1. Doesn’t look deleted to me sir

    2. Are you using the Phandroid app? Because I’ve been noticing that my comments disappear from the app version shortly after I post them…for the last week or so. They still show up on the regular site tho.

  6. One of the reviews mentions it puts an ad at the end of the video. That’s not the kind of editor I’m looking for. Not very good reporting if you fail to mention this.

    1. Thanks for mentioning this…
      SKIPPED.
