LG Singapore confirms ICS upgrades for Optimus Black,Optimus 2X, Optimus 3D, and more

4

LG Singapore issued its users an update via their Facebook page regarding the Ice Cream Sandwich rollout for several of their phones. They’ve confirmed that the LG Optimus Black, LG Optimus 3D, LG Optimus 2X, LG Optimus LTE, and the LG Prada would all be getting Ice Cream Sandwich “in due time.”

We can’t blame them for not even promising a quarterly release window with how unpredictable these things can be. But it’s good to know that these phones will get the update in at least one market.

While LG Global is not yet ready to disclose any information on their ICS plans, LG Singapore’s confession gives us hope that other markets should eventually be seeing the upgrade that has eluded them for so long. [Facebook]

  1. Omg, I had the O3D and sold it because I couldn’t wait LG’s updates anymore.
Reading this article just assure that I made the right decision.

They are delivering ICS when now ppl are expecting to get Jelly Bean, LG has a lot to learn on that front, I mean they have good mobiles, their hardware is very good, but their software team sucks big time.

  2. I wonder if the LG Thrill will see ICS?

    1. Change your baseband on the Thrill to use O3D roms.

  3. I received a system upgrade this morning and I’m on the newest version of gingerbread but my phone is rooted so it said I was on the latest version. G2x?
