HTC One X for AT&T may be $99 soon

11

The HTC One X could do with some rejuvenation sales wise, it seems, as recent rumors suggest the AT&T version could soon be getting a price drop. An XDA user claiming to be an AT&T rep has possibly leaked information that it will soon be just $99 for the privilege to own it.

We’re not sure how trustworthy the information is but the plain-text document offered as proof doesn’t do much to solidify its legitimacy.

Regardless, it’s not crazy to believe that AT&T could soon be willing to offer this phone for the price of a budget phone (especially considering how fast the supposed Windows Phone flagship dropped in price). Let’s hope this won’t take long to come into effect if true. [via Engadget]

The "Google Phone" sounded too awesome to pass up, so I bought a G1. The rest is history. And yes, I know my name isn't Wilson.

  1. They are doing it wrong. The OG EVO took a full year to price drop. Tsk Tsk Tsk.

  4. It’s because the GS3 is eating the One X’s lunch

  5. Don’t believe everything you hear. Yesterday an at&t rep told me the next iPhone won’t have LTE. He just said it’ll be a half an inch bigger. I asked him what about the mini dock and earphone jack on the bottom. He knew nothing about it. But then again HTC messed up by not adding a removable SD slot or battery. All this price drop is going to do is get HTC back on the drawing board to release a new version and forget about supporting this one. You gotta love android.

  6. Hope that means I could pick up a new one for around the $400 range soon. My mothers EVO is showing its age and its getting time for me to buy her a new phone

  7. Of course its dropping, they need to sell at least a couple. How much have you even heard about the phone since the S3 came out?

    1. A lot? Since the S3 is apparently sucks in many aspects.

    2. A lot. Since the S3 is apparently inferior in other aspects.
