SlingPlayer app for Android gets 50% off sale

5

If you’ve been waiting to pull the trigger on the SlingPlayer app for Android (because, you know, it’s a whopping $30), now might be your best time to buy it. Sling Media is hosting a 50% off sale for their apps for both phones and tablets. It allows you to watch TV on your phone or tablet while on the go as long as you have SlingBox Pro and SlingBox Pro-HD. Get to the Google Play Store here (phones) and here (tablets) if you want to take advantage. Hurry up because this won’t last long.

  1. I knoe its not the same app, but same company … Love my Dish and $30 Sling adapter. Can watch anything on my Hopper, live or DVR, from anywhere …

Fortunately that app is free, although wish looked better.

Just got done watching Tampa Rays game at work :)

  2. Just bought it two weeks ago for full price, crap. I still find it very laggy compared to just running the free app on my netbook

  3. Word of warning, they haven’t updated this app in over a year, despite customer complaints who have bought this very expensive app.

    1. Maybe why it’s 50% off? That and City ID are the first pieces of bloatware I disabled under ICS.

  4. Vulkano is the way to go
