US Cellular announce Samsung Galaxy S III pricing, pre-orders begin June 12

11

Earlier this week Samsung and a grouping of five US carriers announced various release details for the Galaxy S III. While the four major players — Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, and AT&T — have all either made a release date known or at the very least started pre-orders for the highly-anticpated device, the only regional carrier of the bunch kept us in the dark. Now US Cellular has announced pricing and pre-order details, as well as a general availability of July.

Pricing falls in line with the other US carriers — $199 for the 16GB model and $249 for 32GB. Those totals come after a $100 mail-in rebate and a service agreement. US Cellular will begin pre-orders for the Galaxy S III on June 12th.

  1. So 4 carriers announce $199 models while T-Mobile has said nothing. I really wonder what they are gonna do with this pricing.

    1. Hopefully cheaper?

    2. I imagine it’ll be in line. However, ATT is only doing a 16 gig while all 4 other carriers are doing 16/32, so…

  2. source link, please?

  3. Wish us cellular was national.

    1. They are kinda, they have service here in NorCal, and in Oregon and Washington here in the west, and in the midwest, east and south. Technically though, they are a regional carrier.

      1. Yeah, I guess I should have said I wish they were in Michigan…

        1. Well, they do have a tiny bit of coverage in Michigan, Benton Harbor.

  4. I pre-ordered the Verizon Galaxy S3 from best buy at full retail priced. I was expecting it to be around $650 like everyone said but the email I got said $800. I really hope that was a typo…

    1. I just did the same thing at a BB a few hours ago, only because I have a $50 gift card discount by upgrading through them, but my “order total” for ATT’s was $700. Just ignore it. The upgrade price will be the same as the carriers’ at the time you actually show up to the store to pay for it and do the upgrade (which should be June 21st in my case)

      1. Thank you. I pre-ordered it at BB for the exact same reason ($50 gift card). I wouldn’t have wanted to pay extra when I’m just trying to save money.

At least your comment stopped me from worrying too much.
(Enjoy your Galaxy S3, I still have to wait until July 9)
