Best Buy Mobile offering pre-sales of Verizon, Sprint, and AT&T’s Galaxy S3

Best Buy tends to follow suit wit carriers when it comes to offering pre-sale opportunities, so we figured the Samsung Galaxy S3 would be no different. They’ve announced that users can walk into the store right now and put money down on a brand new Samsung Galaxy S3 for either Verizon, Sprint, and AT&T one they launch. Naturally, T-Mobile was excluded because they aren’t holding a pre-sale period for their version.

The Samsung Galaxy S3 is pretty much identical across the board save for each carrier’s respective radios and minor differences in storage and color options. With a 4.8 inch display, a dual-core S4 processor by Qualcomm, an 8 megapixel 1080p camera, a 2 megapixel front facing camera, Android 4.0 with TouchWiz, and more, you’ll want to get your hands on this if Samsung is your thing. The "Google Phone" sounded too awesome to pass up, so I bought a G1. The rest is history. And yes, I know my name isn't Wilson.

  1. Im really hoping sprint releases a black color option..

  2. T-Mobile was excluded because Best Buy does not sell T-Mobile…….

    1. My best buy sells t mobile

      1. Mine doesn’t.

        1. Mine either.

  3. is best buy doing pre orders on the 32 gig for sprint or is that a online exdclusive?

  4. Wit carriers? We moving to the ebonics dialect now? Lol. Proof read!

    1. Nope, Belgian beer!

  5. Just went to Best Buy and pre-ordered the Verizon 16gb blue version. The arrival date shows Thursday June 28th.

    1. I just pre-ordered mine and it says the 21st.

      1. I did get the AT&T blue version though…

        1. When I asked the girl she specifically asked me if I wanted the “Verizon” version, kinda caught me by surprised but I said ya as a matter of fact I do.

  6. Best buy by me has 32 gb for Verizon only. :( Sprint only has 16gb at this time.

    1. Do not frown. Buy the cheaper 16GB model and then buy a big ass SD card to put in it. You can get a 32GB microSDXC card for $30 on Amazon. 16GB is dirt cheap at around $4.

    2. Not sure if that’s true, I pre-ordered 32gb from Sprint this morning. Confirmed with rep as well.

  7. I remember they had that sign up for 50 dollars off/gift card earlier this year. That will be nice

    1. yep. I got my gift card when I pre-ordered.

    2. Yeah – got one of those too, and might use it. (Can’t pre-order online though)

  8. I’m getting the red! That’s what up!

  9. Rakisha, was that 32 gb from the Sprint site or from best buy? As far as I was told, best buy only had the 16gb.

    1. sprint has the 32 and 16gb

  10. The Verizon version come with a snapdragon duel core s 4 processor and 2GB of RAM

The others are all the same. They come with sammies exynos processor and 1GB of ram.

The reason is big reds LTE works better with the dragons which is why it comes equipped with 2GB of RAM, to compensate for the somewhat hardly even noticeable difference in processors. In all the Verizon version seems to out perform the rest in benchmark test. Go big red if you can I believe they still offer 4gb data packages for 30$ usually that’s a 2GB package. If your grandfathered with unlimited data you already know what to do, stay where you are. Enjoy your SIII people I know I will ….. pebble blue here I come.

    1. where did you get your info? Everything I have read is that they are all coming with S4 and 1.5gb of ram

      1. its 2 gb of ram and at&t, sprint, tmobile and verizon are all running 1.5 ghz s4

    2. Au contraire — ALL of the US models will have dual core along with 2GB of RAM,,,,,not just Verizon.

  11. Guess who’s going to best buy this weekend:)

Does anyone know if At&t’s version will have the xynos processor in it? I was gunna go with verizon, but that could win me over… Any thoughts?

  12. Has anyone tried pre-ordering with an upgrade? I’m planning to use my upgrade to pick one of these up but didn’t know if I could pre-order it and still get the upgrade discounted pricing. Also, just curious and I’m sure nobody has a definitive answer but, any idea if pre-ordering is actually necessary? As in, do we think these are going to be sold out on release day?

    1. Nevermind, found the answer to my own question. I was able to pre-order using my upgrade.

  13. Great to learn about the Galaxy S3 availability – finally. AT&T, once again, is at bottom, only offering the entry-level version of 16GB, like with HTC One X. The red color won’t be doing me any good, if I run out of space with the ever increasing apps and videos. I’d pay more for a “truly cutting-edge smartphone”.

  16. I pre-ordered using my upgrade and got it at the discounted price of $199. Also getting it through best buy, I received my $50 gift card. You can take a chance by not pre-ordering and hope they still have some in stock on the day of release but I wouldn’t advise it. I expect them to be sold out across the board on day 1.
