Samsung T699 with 720p display for T-Mobile shows up in user agent profile

8

T-Mobile may soon be set to introduce a monster of a phone. One Samsung T699 has popped up in a user agent profile. While these don’t tend to give us much information, we can usually count on them to drop one or two nuggets.

This particular phone will apparently come equipped with a 720p display, something that always leads us to believe we’ll be seeing a high-end option. In fact, it might not be too far-fetched to suggest this could be their Galaxy S3.

I’m jumping a bit too far ahead, but considering their track record with Samsung’s flagship line there’s no reason to believe T-Mobile won’t get it. In any case, all we have is a model number and knowledge of what should be a beautiful HD display. [via TmoNews]

The "Google Phone" sounded too awesome to pass up, so I bought a G1. The rest is history. And yes, I know my name isn't Wilson.

  1. Can someone please tell me what all these user agent releases say, if anything, about the US release date/window?

    1. It means that it’s coming ……. Eventually………..

Seeing T-Mobile’s undue excitement over the One S they probably just ordered a Galaxy S II HD, those trolls.

  2. Sgslll with 3.5g lol.

    1. This would be the only US SGSIII with any chance of keeping the screaming quad core Exynos…avenge that tool.

  3. When is the ics coming out for the sgs2

  4. Problem is and questions that may not be answered yet are:

-Tmobiles (US Varient) on the GSII got a Qualcomm chipset since Samsungs Exynos chipset isnt compatible with the the 42mbps+ HSPA network for the US.

So either this is for TMo UK or the US version where Samsung fixed there chipsets.

Plus…why is this identical to this January snapshot?

  5. Galaxy Nexus with Super AMOLED HD PLUS (+) ???? That would be awesome :) :)

  6. SGH-T699. That means no Exynos and Snapdragon S4 if the SGH-T989 SII with S3 was any indication. Always go for GT-I9XXX Samsung devices, those are the real ones.
