HBO Go to get tablet optimization this summer

1

HBO Go is good for watching all your shows on-the-go, but it is a shame that it is still not available for all those Home Box Office subscribers with Android tablets. Many users were upset upon finding out that the last update, which optimized the app for Android 4.0 devices, still did not include tablet support. If you are one of them, you will be glad to learn that HBO is promising a tablet-optimized update to come early this summer.

HBO GO is now supported on Android phones running up to version 4.04 (Ice Cream Sandwich). We are actively working on a version of the application that will be optimized for most Android tablets, including Kindle Fire. Please stay tuned as a new version of the application with support for tablets is coming early this summer.

Within a few months, you should be able to watch all those shows in a mobile screen larger than your smartphone. And remember that DirecTV subscribers are also getting HBO Go and MAX Go support later this year, so the deal will be getting even sweeter.
