YouTube’s Google TV app updated, playback said to be more “smooooooooth”

YouTube’s Google TV app just got a whole lot better, adding a few neat features from the desktop site. Users will now find recommendations within the “My YouTube” tab, an improved search (which allows you to quickly find the channel you’re looking for), smooooooooth playback*, and the ability to Plus 1 videos.

*This is how Google TV’s blog post puts it. How exactly? Well, if they realize that your bandwidth is low and causing you to buffer videos, then it’ll automatically shift to a lower resolution video.

  2. Yeah I shouldn’t be shifted at all… that’s the problem. I get 40mbps downstream on my desktop with zero problems regarding YouTube but my revue is unusable.
