ICS update roll-out for 2011 Sony Xperia line begins

7

Keeping to their promised target of a mid-April rollout of the ICS upgrade for their 2011 Xperia line of handsets, Sony took to their blog to update their users of the Arc S, Neo V and Ray in the Scandinavian nations that the update is now ready for them.

As long as there are no hiccups, other global markets should see the update over the next 4-6 weeks. Other handsets (namely Xperia arc, Xperia PLAY, Xperia neo, Xperia mini, Xperia mini pro, Xperia pro, Xperia active and Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman) should start receiving their updates towards the end of May.

    1.  i’m sad that we didnt even get a timescape ui with the xperia, while AT&T got it along with the docking station :(

    2. I bought the Verizon Xperia Play for near vanilla Android experience when it launched. If I had known at that time Verizon was actually submit to a Nexus device on their network late last year I would have waited. But I got no complains other than the limited RAM due to the uninstallable Playstation games which cause frequent Low Memory alerts (even after moving everything possible to SD). I’m hoping the Verizon Play gets ICS but I already know thats wishful thinking.

  3. I got time scape ics on my galaxy nexus! It’s pretty badass. You guys will love it. (it’s a port from the Xperia arc)

  4. what about the 2012 line?
