Sprint Uploads Galaxy Nexus Overview Video – Imminent Release Is Imminent

31

Sprint has just uploaded a new overview video for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. Just like almost every other device on their network, the video covers all the features of the device, giving the world a look at what they can expect once the device is available on their network. And there’s that. Just when is the Galaxy Nexus going to arrive on Sprint?

Well, current rumors are showing it could launch next Sunday April 22nd with posters advertising the device going up in stores a week before then. You want my opinion? Buy this device on day 1. Get there early. Let’s show Sprint and other carriers we prefer our Android phones flavored with pure vanilla (Google).

I've been obsessed with consumer technology for about as long as I can remember, be it video games, photography, or mobile devices. If you can plug it in, I have to own it. Preparing for the day when Android finally becomes self-aware and I get to welcome our new robot overlords.

  1. ugh, such a redundant post. ;)

    1. My redundancy is redounding.. =p

      1. But are you redundant and redounding in Redondo?

      2.  Someone else caught the humor here right?
        obvious troll is obvious….

  2. Get there* early. (Pet peeve of mine. Gotta share the wisdom)

  3. The screen looks washed out. Looks terrible, they’re underselling the screen.

  4. High-definition games – tetris. Keep it  up!

    1. They should’ve used Dead Space or N.O.V.A. 2 or a game that would really show off the HD display….way to go Sprint

  5. Sprint people. Make yourself a favor and get the unlocked GSM version. You won’t regret.

    1. That would require Sprint being a GSM network.

      1. I don’t always slap people…. but when I do I do it with subtlety.

    2. Gsm version won’t work on Sprint network…unless you’re trying to tell the people on Sprint to switch over to T-Mo or ATT……

  6. Slim & Curve Design? I hope that’s not the promo they’re running with! That’s one glaring grammatical error!

  7. Imminentagiously releasing imminentadociously

  8. Meh… I wish it came with a better processor… that’s the only reason why I’m reluctant with getting the Galaxy Nexus.

    1. I have it on Verizon, it rocks.  You won’t be disappointed.

  9. I’ll wait till June for the EVO 4G LTE!!

    1.  Yes…. Same here I was gonna bounce to ATT But the evo one…. *drools*
I know there is going to be this and that including the nexus coming out but…
I love me some evo action and after seeing ics on the vivid and sense uhhh 3.5 or whatever… I cannot wait to see the full ics 4.0 and sense 4.0!!!!!

      1. I’ve been reading around and some say

Sense 4.0 kinda sucks.. I’ve never used it myself… so I can’t say for sure

        1.  That’s because everyone anticipates Sense 4.0 to be like all previous versions before it. What a majority of people are failing to realize is that HTC did a great job (for once) implementing native features to their overlay that cooperate with the OS behind it. Real HW acceleration, anyone?

          1. Sense definitely seemed to bog the one x on a versus video on youtube between the one x and galaxy nexus maybe the reviewer is bias but gave the galaxy nexus the look it up for yourself think it was a phone arena video but i could be wrong about that

          2. Which One X? AT&T or GSM?

          3.  can’t reply to @NYCHitman1:disqus  but I was going to ask the same thing, the gsm is the tegra 3 which consistently tests under the krait in speed but sense 4.0 is supposed to be a stripped down version of whatever the last one was that everyone says is so bloated (which i do not disagree with) But I am really pleased with 3.5 that they put on the vivid and yes it may slow it down a bit but qaudrant scores were upped so much with ics I can drop a couple points as a sacrifice to use a ui that I am totally happy with on all points!

  10. I’m str8tloungin until June too bredren.

  11. Coppin….

  12. Are they ever going to release ICS for Epic 4g Touch?

  13. I’m waiting for the Galaxy Note/Journal

  14. Just watched the video to see if sprints gnex has the same 5megapixel as verizons…uggh it does. Fr o m what ive read the only weak link for verizons gnex is the camera anybody know if they have improved the camera sensor software, or is that the same too.

Love to have pure Google expeience, but not at the expense of a mediocre camera, thanks but I’ll stick with my galaxy sll with its excellent 8 megapixel camera.

  15. Chris chavez does the unlocked version works for google wallet with out rooting the phone.
