The Xyboards go global

The horribly-named Motorola Xyboard will very soon receive an OTA that will add some very useful features.  Users of both the 8.2 and 10.1 inch tablets can soon enjoy improved browser performance, maintenance of a data connection when switching between WiFi and 3G/LTE, and stylus enhancements for the 10.1 inch version.

But the new capability to roam internationally using a GSM connection is by far the biggest highlight of the news released by Verizon, itself. You do get some bloatware, in the form of The Daily app, unfortunately. But overall, it seems like a decent deal.
