Sony Releasing at Least 12 Smartphones This Year?

7

Although Ericsson’s name has been dropped off of the Xperia-branded line of devices, we fully expect Sony to attack the smartphone market just as fiercely as they did. It appears they will be doing just that as a new leak has suggested they will be coming to market with no less than 12 smartphones. We’re said to expect devices in June, July, August, April and September, though we do expect more.

All of the names, prices and dates you see are rumors, though, so we won’t get too excited. We’re not even sure what to make of a few of these codenames. There’s no telling what these devices will turn out to be but Sony Ericsson’s track record has been solid as of late. Starting with the Xperia S we are excited to see what Sony will bring in 2012.
