Though we don’t have a release date on the books, the Motorola DROID 4 is already helping to put the Droid 3 out to pasture. Verizon has dropped the price of the currently available handset in light of announcement of its followup last week. After less than a year, the Motorola DROID 3 has been reduced in price to $99 on a two-year contract and should soon disappear from Verizon’s shelves all together.
