T-Mobile Offering New Year’s Discount on a New Phone this Weekend

8

It’s a new year and T-Mobile thinks it’s time for you to pick up a new phone. If you didn’t get the smartphone you were so desiring as a gift this holiday season, you can treat yourself thanks to the reduced rates TMo is offering on some of their most popular Android smartphones. From January 6th through January 8th, devices such as the HTC Amaze 4G and Samsung Galaxy S II will be available for $49.99 or less after a mail-in rebate. The initial fee acts as a down payment with an additional monthly charge to cover the balance. Now that we know T-Mobile won’t be going anywhere as part of a now-defunct buyout deal with AT&T, customers can feel a bit easier about committing a couple of years to the carrier. Do any of these deals sound tempting enough or will you be waiting to see what new devices are unveiled at CES before committing to your next smartphone?

  1. Waiting on the T-Mobile Galaxy Nexus…

  2. So you are still paying $450 for a Samasung Galaxy S II…just $50 down payment with 20 months x $20 payments.

T-Mobile should just make that “deal” available all the time for their Value plans.I’ll keep my old unlimited data plan and wait on a T-Mobile Galaxy Nexus or the Galaxy S III.January 10th to the 13th (next week) is CES too, so all the new phones should be announced then…Galaxy S III maybe?

  3. Me too

  4. Going to pass, not a fan of these “Value Plan” sales.

  5. Shoot why when you can get it at Walmart for $215.00 for a new line new contract or upgrade.

  6. why buy last year’s leftovers?

  7. So I just got a new Galaxy S2 on a value plan.  I called and they will not honor the rebate.  I have to cancel my contract – I’m still in my time to do so – and then start a new one to get the special pricing.  What a scam!

  8. Yuck…..mail in rebates.
