  1. Does anyone know how to maintain access to Amazon videos with root?

    1. I don’t have a Kindle Fire, but I recall reading that there’s an app that temporarily unroots so you can use Amazon video.  Do a little googling, I’m sure you’ll find it.

    2. otarootkeeper app available on the Android Market. Just hit the “temporary unroot” button and you can use all of Amazon’s services like free Prime streaming videos. Then you just hit the “reRoot button when you need root again. It’s great!
