Motorola DROID 4 Visits the FCC

15

The Motorola DROID 4, like the Galaxy Nexus, is supposed to be coming out this month. We hope their respective launches are both sooner than later. But the Motorola DROID 4 may well be ready for a launch as it has passed the FCC, meaning Verizon and/or Motorola are free to put this thing on sale any day now. It also has 4G LTE, though we weren’t expecting that to be missing in the first place. [PocketNow]

  1. I wish they would make a GSM version of this phone.

    1. Wouldn’t that be the Milestone?

    2. If I’m not mistaken, the Droid 3 had a removable SIM card and was able to be flashed to GSM. I had a D2Global, and considered the D3 because of this. I would be pretty surprised if this thing didn’t end up as a global phone as well, which means GSM capable.

      1. it may well be the first global device in verizon.

    3. FYI, the FCC filing says the phone is GSM capable, just locked to US users. So this will be a global phone, and will be GSM capable outside US.

  2. Yea , looking like a good week .

  3. Except no one gives a shit about the Droid 4 when they just released the Droid 3 and the Nexus comes out the same day.

    1. Wrong.  A lot of people passed on the D3 due to lack of LTE.

      1. Lack of LTE is exactly why I skipped D3 and anxiously await the D4

        1. It will have a better display than my razr due to its size.

  4. The droid 4 will be another winner.

  5. Do a BOGO and at $199 price and they will fly out the door .

    1. They already do at $300 on contract..

      1. It isn’t out yet , how can they do that ?

  6. No James. I could care less about the nexus I want this. You enjoy your menus though. Ill enjoy this.
