Verizon Motorola XOOM Receiving Software Update to Enable Pay-as-You-Go Plans

3

The Motorola XOOM for Verizon is receiving a small (8MB small) update as of today. Given the minute size, don’t expect any big feature changes. It’s looking like the only major adjustment is an under-the-hood change allowing the tablet to be activated on Verizon’s month-to-month 4G LTE plans. The update provides a good option for those not wanting to lock their tablet choice down for two years, and considering the ever dropping price of the XOOM it comes at the perfect time.

  1. I’ve been on a month-to-month plan since day 1.  Don’t see the point of this update.

    1. month-to-month =/= pay-as-you-go

      1. Really?  Where does it say that on the Verizon website?
