US Bound Samsung Galaxy Note Caught On Camera?

18

I know a lot of you have been lusting after the 5.3-inch Samsung Galaxy Note ever since it was released last month in Europe. We’ve known for quite sometime now that a North American release would follow but the rumor mill has been rather quite with nary a peep or leak — until now. The above image comes to us courtesy from inside some type of Samsung testing office and shows the Galaxy Note with a noticeable lack of the “homescreen button” (some call it the iHome button) from the international version of the phoneblet. If you haven’t noticed by now, whenever the US (or Canada) gets a Galaxy phone, they always seem to do away with that home button. This is most likely an attempt to avoid legal woes with a certain fruity company from Curpertino.

The Galaxy Note LTE has just been made official for South Korea and the SDK for the S-Pen has also been released earlier today. I think I speak for us all when I say that I’m hoping for a speedy Sprint release seeing how everyone else will have a compatible Galaxy Nexus by year’s end (yeah, I went there). Think I need my blanket and passie…

  1. the galaxy note is due to be release in mexico on december first

  2. You mentioned that whenever Canada gets a Galaxy S Device, they do away with the  physical home button. That’s wrong, the Bell Galaxy S Vibrant is the same as the international Galaxy S (GT-i9000), same with their Samsung Galaxy S2.

Only Rogers and Telus received the US variants.

  3. Even with the Home button or without, Samsung is still Samsung.

    1. I think you were supposed to say “First” weren’t you?  Samsung is still Samsung, fascinating!

  6. why does sprint seem the likely carrier?

  7. Um Sherry what would make you think that it is going to sprint?? It is AT&T bound. There is a sim card slot and everything. So your out of luck. Sprints claim to fame was only the evo, now its just the iPhone with unlimated, I’m pretty sure that Samsung would want their phone on a carrier that can get service and that does not come in last to Tmobile.

    1. he’s just being hopeful. im doing the same thing. i wont leave sprint, so cant waituntil their next super phone

    2. Depends where you live.  I am in the Phoenix Metro area and nothing matches Verizon’s service.  What I dont get is why these phone manufacturers wont make the same phone for Sprint/Verizon and ATT/TMobile.  Then you can see if it’s the phone that is selling well, or the service provider.  I checked out a Samsung Galaxy S II, but it was with tMobile.  Went down to Queen Creek areae and got either NO signal or 2G.  Ridiculous.  Took it back in less than 24 hrs and went back to Verizon.  If that phone was with Verizon, the sales would skyrocket.  Each metro area has it’s leading provider, and Phoenix metro is Verizon. Bring the Note to all!!

  8. i can’t get att in my house. one bar only. my thanksgiving guests had att and had to join my house network. sprint had to give me a device to get a signal and i am in the middle of a city. sigh. so I’m going to verizon but i love that note. three nexus will be wonderful. but i mean love as in serious longing. wonder if att has one of those devices to get a signal . . . why oh why is only big red everywhere?

    1. what city?  and are you sure vzw is better?

  9. Richmond, va. yes, my husband has verizon and had no problems.

  10. Yeah baby that the one please sprint

  11. Please put this on Sprint!  I’ll buy it like yesterday!
