Newegg’s Transformer Prime Presale Listing Points Toward December 8th

13

December 8th and 9th will potentially be huge days in the Android world. Not only might we see the Motorola DROID 4 and the Galaxy Nexus, we might also be getting the Transformer Prime on that same day.

Newegg’s presale listing for the Android 3.2 tablet shows a December 8th release date for the device. It’s far from official at this point (things are forever changing) but it’s good to see that ASUS is aiming for a launch before Christmas. Head to Newegg to preorder one for $500 if you are interested. [via Engadget]

The "Google Phone" sounded too awesome to pass up, so I bought a G1. The rest is history. And yes, I know my name isn't Wilson.

  1. Too bad it doesn’t ship with ICS, but we already know it will get it.

  2. Never mind ICS, there will be an update soon,
What I am more concerned about is the European release date. Hopefully I can get this as my Christmas present as well.

    1. I pre-ordered from Amazon.com for 380 pounds for the 64 Gig model and will have it shipped over. ;) I heard the UK and European release dates will be in Q1 2012 and the price will basically be the same numbers as the US price but with the Euro or Pound sign out in front. :( *sigh*

      1. Q1 2012 ?!? I’m so hoping you are wrong…
Why then would German Amazon have it already for preorder since two weeks ago?

  3. But most importantly it’s my birfday. Woot!

    1. Nice. My birthday is the 5th.

  4. Seems like next week is going to be very big for Android news…

-Galaxy Nexus (Still praying the HSPA+ version is sold by Google same day as Verizon sells theirs)

    -Transformer Prime

    -Droid4

  5. If VZW has anything to do with this, Europe will get it and we will see 8-core tablets in the US before this one.

Thank goodness, this is not from VZW.

    1. It’s not from anyone besides ASUS. Strictly WiFi only, the way it should be.

      1. If need be, you can just tether your Galaxy Nexus to the T-prime and presto…insta 4G internet.

        1. Yep, that too.

  6. Is there going to be a seperate launch date for the 64 GB?

    1. People who preordered from other sites were getting the same estimated ship date for 32 and 64gb versions so i would guess they release same day.
