On Wednesday, Amazon announced a flurry of applications headed for their Android-based Kindle Fire tablet, one that’s sure to be a hot holiday item. Today, they’re announcing another couple of biggies. Both Hulu Plus and ESPN will be available for your device at launch, adding to the already thousands-long list of applications that will be available in their Amazon Appstore. They join the likes of Pandora, Rhapsody, Netflix, Facebook and more. I don’t know about anyone else but the Amazon Kindle Fire is sounding as good as any non-Honeycomb/Ice Cream Sandwich could at this point. Find the previous press release below.

  1. Hmmm.  For $200 this thing is still quite enticing.  Hopefully other mfgs will start dropping the price on the 7″ tabs to compete.

  2. Why pay so much for just a Kindle when you can get a Kindle fire and get ESPN and Hulu for around $200. I know what I’m asking Santa for.

  3. So does that mean we’ll get a dead space port finally! Great let’s see you bring that to all other android devices now. Man! This fire is looking like it’s gonna be crazy HOT! Lol

  4. Needs more like normal Kindle battery life then I would think about it.

  5. Great, now can we get some support for EXISTING devices to have Hulu Plus? It actually works on way more devices but they crippled it by building a check in the software to see if you are on the list like it’s some trendy club and your phone is a fat girl.
