Yahoo Weather Updated In The Market – Adds Real Time Local Photos From Flickr

4

Yahoo Weather was just updated in the Android Market today. I know what you’re thinking, “But my phone already comes with its own weather app?” Well sir, does your weather app show you streaming pictures of the weather specific to your area? Didn’t think so.

While more of a novelty than anything, Yahoo Weather now pulls local photos from Flickr showing you exactly what to expect when you walk outside your man-cave. This new feature works particularly well if you live in or near a big city but just don’t expect too many shots if you live in the boonies. Here are a few more newly added features:

  • Instant five day forecast for your current location
  • Tilt your phone for detailed weather information
  • Save up to 10 locations
  • Share your weather and photos on Facebook, Twitter, and email
  • Stay updated from your home screen by installing the Yahoo! Weather widget

You can download the all new Yahoo Weather for free right now in the Android Market.

I've been obsessed with consumer technology for about as long as I can remember, be it video games, photography, or mobile devices. If you can plug it in, I have to own it. Preparing for the day when Android finally becomes self-aware and I get to welcome our new robot overlords.
