LG today took to Facebook to inform everyone that some of the rumors they’ve bee hearing were false. The rumor was that the Optimus 2X – one of the first Tegra 2 phones and dual-core phones period – would not be getting Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
According to them, that’s not true. They have reassured everyone that they are certainly planning on bringing Ice Cream Sandwich to not only the Optimus 2X, but to 0ther high-end phones of theirs.
Like other OEMs, LG can’t confirm a rollout window until Google drops the public source. Once they do get the source, however, we hope it won’t be too long before their plans come to fruition. In other words, if you have a dual-core phones (and maybe even a couple of single core phonnes) by LG, chill out – you likely have nothing to worry about.
